I started my day by going back to Ueno Park, and this time actually exploring it. Among all the trees and the bushes there were temples, shrines, and pagodas, and people praying for good luck and fortune. There were maps located all around the park, stating the names of all the different landmarks in English as well as Japanese, so it was fairly easy to get around and see all the different sights.
In addition to the natural sights and the temples, there were also street performers spread around the park attracting the crowd and demonstrating their different skills, be it juggling, magic tricks, or playing some kind of instruments.
I could probably spend a good part of my day watching different acts, but there were other places I wanted to visit so I made my way out of the park and toward my next destination- The Senso Ji temple. After a bit of a walk, I was finally at the gate and the beginning of the shopping street. On both sides there were plenty of stalls selling food and drinks, souvenirs, and clothes.
It was a bit difficult to move forward as the place was crowded, but eventually I got past all the stalls and stood in front of the temple itself. There was a line of people waiting to go up the stairs of this big building, and after getting to the top, I finally got to see inside the temple. While it was a pretty sight, I thought it was a bit underwhelming, and found the way to the temple to be more interesting. After I took a look around, and visited the nearby pagoda, I made my way back to the room to get some rest.
One of the reasons I wanted to come to Japan is their cars and automotive culture. The final destination I had for the day was the UDX garage, where I was told I could find some special cars with a unique look. It might have been that I got there a bit too early in the evening, but at first glance it was fairly empty, and the cars I did see were not that interesting.
And then I got to the second floor, where things started to improve. I was greeted by the sight of a Lamborghini, and not too far from it, a few more cars with some interesting liveries and paint jobs. Both the second and third floor of the garage were fairly empty, similar to the first floor, and most of the cars were regular daily drives, but I did manage to find a few unique cars when I walked around the place, and it was certainly a fun way to end the day.
